METAL-POLYMER COMPOSITE PLAIN BEARINGS (STEEL-BACKED, SINTERED-BRONZE INTERLAYER, PTFE OR POM SLIDING LAYER)

SKF / INA PermaGlide PAF (flanged bush)

SKF / INA PermaGlide PAF (flanged bush) is part of the SKF / INA PermaGlide range of metal-polymer composite plain bearings (steel-backed, sintered-bronze interlayer, ptfe or pom sliding layer). Equivalent to flanged variants of Bushingo BP25 sintered-bronze bushes for lubricated / self-lubricating duty; for the dry composite running face, Metagliss composite is the technology analogue. Combined radial/thrust flanged bushes are typically cross-shopped against a Bushingo flanged bush plus a Metagliss thrust element.

Specification

BrandSKF / INA PermaGlide
SeriesSKF / INA PermaGlide PAF (flanged bush)
MaterialSame metal-polymer composite as the PAP bushes (P10 PTFE dry-running or P11 POM lubricated), formed with an integral flange/collar.
FormsFlanged (collared) wrapped bush
Typical size rangeFlanged versions of the PAP bore sizes — typically ~3 mm to ~100 mm bore — general guidance only.

Key features

  • Integral flange carries axial (thrust) loads in addition to radial loads
  • Locates the bush axially and provides a running face against a shoulder
  • Available in both maintenance-free P10 and lubricated P11 materials
  • Compact, thin-walled steel-backed construction
  • Combines radial and thrust function in a single component
