Self-Lubricating Friction Plates
Bushingo is a specialist supplier of oil-impregnated, self-lubricating sintered bushings, machinable bearing blanks, self-lubricating friction plates and matched impregnation oils — 620 technical references and over 120,000 items, supplied quote-based to industrial OEM and MRO customers worldwide.
Discover our productsBushingo supplies the complete original industrial range of bushings, blanks, friction plates and specialist oils.
Oil-impregnated sintered matrix delivers self-lubrication through capillary oil release — no grease points, no re-lubrication schedule.
A deep standard range across 18 product groups covers most bearing positions from stock geometry rather than a special.
BP25 bronze, FP20 iron and SO16 alloy let you match conformability, load capacity and machinability to the duty.
Bushing sizes follow the established conventions for sintered bushes under ISO 2795 and DIN 1850.
Hollow and solid self-lubricating blanks finish-machine into non-standard bores, walls and lengths without losing their impregnated structure.
Technical RFQ supply to OEM and MRO customers internationally, with grade and size confirmed against your application.

View specifications →Every Bushingo bearing is built around a single principle: hold the lubricant inside the bearing wall rather than on it. Oil-impregnated sintered bushings are pressed and sintered from metal powder, leaving an interconnected pore network — typically in the order of 20–25% of the volume in sintered bronze — which is then vacuum-impregnated with lubricating oil.
In service the mechanism is self-regulating. As the shaft turns, hydrodynamic pressure and frictional heat draw a thin film of oil out of the pores and onto the sliding surface; when motion stops and the bearing cools, capillary action reabsorbs the oil back into the matrix. The result is continuous lubrication with no grease points, no drip trays and no scheduled re-greasing.
The catalogue spans four functional groups, each available in the material grade best suited to its duty. Flanged and cylindrical bushings cover the vast majority of standard plain-bearing positions, while bearing blanks and friction plates address bespoke geometry and flat-sliding applications.
| Group | Grades | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Flanged bushings | BP25 bronze, FP20 iron | Located bearings taking combined radial and light axial load |
| Cylindrical bushings | BP25 bronze, FP20 iron | Plain radial bearings for shafts, pivots and linkages |
| Hollow & solid bearing blanks | BP25, FP20, SO16 | Machinable stock for non-standard bores, lengths and profiles |
| Self-lubricating friction plates | Composite | Flat sliding, guides, wear pads and thrust faces |
| Impregnation & industrial oils | PE1152, TURBO T100, METADOP, PE1116 | Re-impregnation and grade-matched lubrication |
Grade selection is the first decision in any self-lubricating bearing specification. Bushingo standardises on three sintered families whose dimensional conventions follow the established practice for sintered bushes under ISO 2795 and DIN 1850.
| Grade | Base material | Character |
|---|---|---|
| BP25 | Sintered bronze | The general-purpose choice: good conformability, corrosion resistance and clean running for moderate speeds and loads. |
| FP20 | Sintered iron | A cost-effective grade favouring higher load capacity at lower sliding speeds, common in agricultural and general machinery. |
| SO16 | Sintered alloy | Supplied as machinable bearing blanks where a specific bore, wall or length is required from a self-lubricating billet. |
As a class, sintered bronze bushings of this type typically operate to around 100 °C continuous on standard mineral impregnation; high-temperature impregnation oils extend that range where the application demands it.
The standard range is deliberately broad so that most positions can be filled from stock geometry rather than a special. All dimensions below are drawn directly from the published size tables.
| Product | Bore Ø int. | Outer Ø ext. | Length |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cylindrical bronze BP25 | 2–125 mm | up to 150 mm | up to 120 mm |
| Cylindrical iron FP20 | 3–100 mm | up to 120 mm | up to 120 mm |
| Flanged bronze BP25 | 3–60 mm | with collar & flange | see size table |
| Flanged iron FP20 | 3–60 mm | with collar & flange | see size table |
| Hollow bearing blanks | 38–85 mm | 70–175 mm | 120 mm |
| Solid bearing blanks | — | 20–145 mm | 40–120 mm |
Flanged bushings carry a defined collar diameter and flange thickness at each size, which locates the bearing axially against a housing face.
Not every position matches a catalogue bush. Where the bore, wall thickness or length falls outside the standard tables, Bushingo supplies self-lubricating stock ready to finish-machine.
For flat sliding, the self-lubricating friction plates are supplied as 375 × 375 mm sheets across a range of thicknesses from 4 to 20 mm, in three material grades. They cut and drill readily into wear pads, slide guides and thrust faces that share the same maintenance-free behaviour as the bushings.
A sintered bearing is only as good as the oil held in its pores. Bushingo supplies impregnation oils matched to each grade, so that re-impregnated or specially finished parts perform as intended.
