Hollow Bearing Blanks FP20

Hollow FP20 bearing blanks are through-impregnated sintered-iron tubes for machining self-lubricating bushings that fall outside the standard cylindrical and flanged ranges. The interconnected porosity extends through the full wall, so bores, outside diameters and end faces can be cut to a custom size while the machined surfaces stay oil-bearing and self-lubricating.

The five sizes share a 120 mm length with bores of Ø38–Ø85 mm and outside diameters of Ø70–Ø175 mm — ample stock for larger iron bushes where FP20's hardness and load capacity are wanted. Iron machines readily but should be finished with sharp tools and light cuts to keep the pores open; re-impregnate the completed part with a compatible oil to top up the lubricant reserve before installation.

• Select a blank that clears your target bore and OD with a sensible machining allowance.
• Available sizes (Ø Int. × Ø Ext. × length, mm): 38×70×120, 45×105×120, 80×145×120, 80×175×120, 85×105×120.
• FP20 iron suits higher load, slow or oscillating motion and hardened shafts; for quieter/corrosion duty use BP25, for the alloy grade use SO16.
• Re-impregnate after machining with the grade-appropriate industrial oil (TURBO T100 for FP20).
