BUSHINGOENGINEERED MOTION1 products · Technical support and worldwide supply
Hollow SO16 bearing blanks are oil-impregnated sintered alloy tubes offered as machining stock for bespoke self-lubricating bushings in the SO16 grade. As with the bronze and iron blanks, the sintered structure is porous throughout and vacuum-impregnated with oil, so a bush turned and bored from the blank keeps its integral lubricant reservoir on every machined face.
Five hollow sizes are stocked, all 120 mm long, with bores from Ø38 to Ø85 mm and outside diameters from Ø70 to Ø175 mm, providing substantial material for large or special bushes. Machine with sharp tooling and light finishing passes to avoid closing the surface porosity, then re-impregnate the finished part with a compatible impregnation oil to restore full oil saturation.
