Solid Bearing Blanks BP25

Solid BP25 bearing blanks are oil-impregnated sintered-bronze bars supplied for machining custom bushings, thrust washers, plugs and small sliding components from scratch. With no pre-formed bore, the solid section gives maximum flexibility: the customer drills and bores the bearing to the exact geometry required, and because the sintered bronze is porous and oil-filled throughout, the machined bore and faces emerge already self-lubricating.

Seven diameters are offered, from Ø20 to Ø145 mm, in lengths of 40 to 120 mm, covering everything from small special bushes to large turned parts. Retain the porosity by finishing with sharp tools and light cuts rather than heavy, smearing passes, and re-impregnate the completed component with a compatible oil to top up the lubricant before it enters service.

• Choose a bar diameter and length that enclose your finished part with enough allowance for turning and boring.
• Available sizes (Ø × length, mm): 20×40, 30×50, 45×90, 54×110, 70×120, 105×120, 145×120.
• BP25 bronze suits quiet, corrosion-resistant, moderate-speed bearings; use FP20 for higher load or SO16 where the alloy is specified.
• Only the bore needs machining, not the OD → a hollow BP25 blank may waste less material.
• Re-impregnate after machining with the matching industrial oil (TURBO T100).
